Music theory and guitar go together like peanut butter and a cookbook. While it’s totally possible to surpass the beginner level of guitar without music theory, you can massively speed up your progress and understanding with some basic music theory.

If that sounds like something you want to do, you came to the right place!

In this video we break down the chromatic scale, the major scale, how to build triads, and basic guitar intervals. It’s a lot of information as fast as possible, but also in a very easy to understand way (hopefully).

In future videos we’ll be breaking down the circle of fifths, the CAGED system and more, but in order to understand that, you have to start here. Well you could also start with theory books, or go to music school, or another alternative, but this is a good place to start.

Anyway, enjoy. Watch twice if you want. Send to your friends, or your mom, or your friend’s mom.
